In creating this digital portfolio it is my intent to demonstrate growth and mastery of the following learning objectives:
Master's Degree Learning Objectives
1. Breadth & Depth of Knowledge - develop a systematic understanding of knowledge, current problems, and new insights informed by academic discipline 2. Research & Scholarship - demonstrate comprehension, critical evaluation and application of research 3. Application of Knowledge - apply research to new questions/specific problems 4. Communication Skills - communicate ideas, issues, and conclusions clearly 5. Awareness of Limits of Knowledge - recognize the complexity of knowledge and contributions of other interpretations, methods and disciplines 6. Autonomy & Professional Capacity - demonstrate initiative, personal responsibility, and academic integrity |
Portfolio Learning Objectives
1. Complete a proposal for a planned portfolio that demonstrates how content is linked to learning from courses in the M.Ed. program 2. Collect and organize authentic evidence that demonstrates learning and development throughout the Master's program. 3. Submit a learning log that demonstrates 110 hours of work on the learning portfolio 4. Revise learning portfolio based on suggestions of the supervisor. 5. Share portfolios with peers during an online or recorded presentation |
Personal Learning Objectives
1. Develop metacognitive awareness by reflecting on what I have learned and how I have learned. 2. Evaluate my philosophy of learning and teaching through the lens of academic research. 3. Apply my learning in the M.Ed. program to practices within my personal and professional life. 4. Identify knowledge and skills that I need to further develop to grow as both a learner and educator. |
